NURSERY

(Birth – 3 yrs. old)

The nursery is open every Sunday morning during services and Sunday School from 9:15am to 12:15pm. The nursery is also open on Wednesday nights from 6:15pm to 8:45pm for all parents who are involved in Wednesday night activities and during specific special events. The nursery is located on the west side of the Friendship Plaza, it is divided into three sections for different age groups. The age groups are: Infants (birth-walking), Wee-walkers (walking-24 months), 2 year olds (24 months-3) The nursery rooms are open 15 minutes before a service or event and remain open for the duration of the activity. Please remember to be prompt in picking up your children after the service or event is over.

Only bring your children to church when they are well!

Colds, runny noses, coughs, fevers, rashes, vomiting, diarrhea, or other signs of illness will spread very quickly among children staying in the nursery. Also, if your child becomes ill while in our care, we will contact you to pick up your child. We cannot give  your child any kind of medication. If he or she needs medication while in our nursery, it will be your responsibility to come and administer it. This includes teething lotion.

Please mark your diaper bag and its contents with your child’s name. You should bring the following items with you when you leave your child in our care: disposable diapers, a cup or bottle, a change of clothes and any special comfort item your child may want.

Parent Pagers are used in the nursery to call for parents during services and Sunday School. We use these pagers so that we can contact parents for any reason and for security.

Our nursery is a volunteer co-op. If your child is a regular attendee, we ask that you would serve in our nursery during at least one Sunday every other month. We also encourage husbands and wives to team up together for nursery duty. We try to keep our child/volunteer ratio at 3:1 for infants, 4:1 for wee-walkers and 5:1 for 2-3 yr. olds. If the ratio is exceeded when you check your child in, we may ask you to stay to help during that service.

2 yr. old Children’s Church is provided every Sunday in the nursery. We have committed and loving teachers that teach a Bible based lesson during the New Celebration service.

Pre-K: Location: K.R.U. “The Helm”

Parents are expected to sign their children in at the reception area in the K.R.U. building, and specify which service they will be attending and if they are planning to attend Sunday School. We ask that you be prompt in picking up your child at 12:05 from the “Ark” or the “Helm.”
